As we begin Holy Week, we are reminded today that we rejoice in the King who came and who is coming. Jesus reigns.
But his coronation looks very different from any you might expect. It comes through suffering and death – his own.
As this week unfolds, we remember that Jesus died. We remember that it was painful and lonely and hard.
And when we remember this, we celebrate all the more next Sunday – because that is the moment when all suffering and death are defeated once and for all.
Join us on Good Friday for a remembrance of the suffering.
